Collection Guidelines for Agricultural Water Testing

For tests requiring bacteria analysis, such as those including Fecal coliforms, samples must be collected in sealed, sterilized containers provided by the lab. These specialized containers are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the bacteria samples and can be obtained through local municipal or water conservation district offices, complete with the necessary forms.

Note on Bicarbonate Measurement

Bicarbonate levels in water samples are calculated from the alkalinity measurements. This calculated value is crucial for several tests, including AG1 and AG4, to provide a thorough insight into water quality for agricultural purposes.

General Sample Collection for Agricultural Water Suitability

For all other agricultural water testing samples, including those for irrigation and greenhouse water suitability (such as AG1, AG2, AG3, and AG4), high-density plastic bottles provided by the lab should be used. These bottles are designed to preserve the quality of the water samples for accurate analysis. You can obtain these containers from local municipal or water conservation district offices, along with the appropriate forms.
